The first free practice session for the 2024 MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix took place early this morning. With, as the main attraction, the return of Andrea Iannone to the premier category, riding the Ducati of Team VR46. Replacing Fabio di Giannantonio, the Italian distinguished himself by taking ninth place in this session. Not bad at all, for a return!
MotoGP: Bagnaia already very fast
Francesco Bagnaia started the Malaysian MotoGP GP at the top, setting the best time ahead of Maverick Vinalès. But the Aprilia is already seven tenths behind the Ducati…For his part, Jorge Martin is only sixth. Marco Bezzecchi took third place, followed in order by Jack Miller and Pedro Acosta. Fabio Quartararo sets the eighth fastest time while Johann Zarco is only 17th, almost 2.4s behind.
Finally, note only one fall during this session, for Pedro Acosta.
