This is not the first time – and probably not the last – that Franco Morbidelli has adopted a “dirty” attitude while riding his machine in MotoGP. This time, it was Fabio Quartararo who paid the price. Unfortunately for the tricolor, they left despite everything but with a fairly damaged Yamaha.

MotoGP: Fabio fights against bad luck with good heart

Nevertheless, the Frenchman is doing his best against bad luck, after this sequence spent at the front of the race, alongside the Ducati of Francesco Bagnaia, Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez. Where could he have finished, without this inconsiderate and “useless” (to use Fabio’s words) action of the Pramac driver? We will never know. However, such pace from Quartararo and Yamaha in the rain tends to confirm that the team is on the right track…

“It's ridiculous to try to overtake so late on the first laps, especially since he just had to wait two straights and he could have dropped me. I think it's a bit stupid to do this kind of overstepping but hey, look, it's like that, I can't do anything about it. It wasn't really in my power. I think it’s ridiculous to overtake like that in the first laps.” Fabio Quartararo

Here are his words on Canal+, after the arrival of the MotoGP Thai Grand Prix.

Note that after his attack on the Frenchman, Franco Morbidelli suffered a long lap before, a few laps later, falling. The commissioners considered that the transalpine had adopted “irresponsible” piloting.
