No time to breathe, MotoGP™ continues with the 15th round of the season at the Pertamina Indonesia Grand Prix. This weekend we attack the second part of a thrilling triple-header full of twists and turns. The stakes are high and new MotoGP™ Fantasy prizes are up for grabs so before the Indonesian GP, here are our editorial team’s tips.
They shone in Misano
It was an incredible Emilia Romagna GP that saw Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) take the win thanks to a powerful overtake at Turn 4 on the last lap. The Italian’s success made him the most prolific rider of the weekend with 44 Fantasy points. The “Beast” got the better of Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac Racing), who crossed the line in second position at the end of a day that will go down in history in the Championship. The “Martinator” gave an additional 38 Fantasy points to all those who had bet on him.
Meanwhile, Marc Márquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) took the final step of the podium while reigning World Champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) crashed on lap 21, seeing his weekend tally drop to 27 Fantasy points. In the team standings, Ducati Lenovo Team dominated the proceedings thanks to Enea Bastianini’s victory. It was a historic success for Ducati as the Bologna-based marque ended the weekend as the top manufacturer, taking its 100th victory and the Constructors’ World Championship.
Who to bet on in Indonesia?
As the paddock returns to the Pertamina International Circuit in Mandalika, the obvious must of course be considered: Championship leader Jorge Martin. The Spaniard is on a great run at the moment and showed incredible pace at this track last year. However, he will take up a significant portion of your budget with a value of 4.9M. Then there is Pecco Bagnaia, winner of the last Indonesian GP and hard not to include in your team. However, the reigning World Champion is also very expensive at 4.8M. So you will have to make a choice!
Enea Bastianini (5M) could also be a good option, the Italian having taken his second win of the season last week. The #23 continues his strong campaign and even took third place in the Championship at Misano. Marc Márquez (5M) could also be a good choice as could Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 MotoGP™ Team), who climbed into the top five last year at this circuit.
Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ Team) is also a strong contender this weekend. On a roll at the moment, the Frenchman has finished on the podium in both of his appearances at Mandalika and will only cost you $1.6 million. Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) will also deprive you of $1.6 million from your budget but the #12 is capable of exceptional performances, not to mention that he finished second here last year.
Finally, if the weather is good, Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing) will definitely be there. Winner in 2022 in the wet at Mandalika, the n°88 is at the attractive price of 1.7M.
