Hesse: Autumn weather: A touch of golden October touches Hesse

As of: October 14, 2024 11:15 a.m

At the start of the week, the weather in Hesse is still changeable, but there is sunlight on the cloudy horizon. It becomes significantly milder and a brief feeling of Indian summer takes hold.

Rain, thunderstorms and highs of 14 degrees – don’t forget your umbrella at the start of the week, because meteorologists are predicting changeable autumn weather. “Today a depression will pass over us during the day, bringing lots of clouds and rain with it,” says hr expert Mark Eisenmann.

Rain is expected in some areas from Monday afternoon at the latest, which will also bring heavy showers in some places. Thunderstorms are also possible, especially in southern Hesse. All this at values of 10 to 14 degrees. Fog and local visibility of less than 150 meters are also to be expected at night.

Milder and sunnier

But this low will be replaced by a high that will move over Hesse towards Eastern Europe and this high will bring mild air with it. “Aside from high fog, it can be quite sunny in places on Tuesday,” said Eisenmann.

However, the fog could also be persistent and continue to cause cloudy weather in regions. However, with temperatures up to 17 degrees it will be significantly milder – and that is just the start of a few days on which the 20 degree mark can be cracked.

Golden October flies by

“We get significantly calmer and milder weather in the middle of the week,” explains Eisenmann. Wednesday will be friendly and dry, with more sun than clouds and temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees. Golden October feelings can arise at times, but you shouldn’t get too used to them.

Already on Thursday a low will be noticeable from the west, bringing clouds with it. However, it will initially remain largely dry on Thursday and very mild with temperatures up to 21 degrees.

For anyone planning trips during the fall break: Wednesday is the perfect day for it.
