Two couples leave while another makes their arrival

Love is Blind Habibi episode 5 premiered on October 10, on Netflix. The reality show helps Arab singles find love that surpasses physical appearance. The contestants got engaged after forming bonds with their partners through pods where they couldn’t see each other. The engaged couple moved to the next stage and went on a holiday trip to get a better understanding of their partner.

The couple went on their first proper date in episode 5. Two contestants realized that their partners weren’t the right fit for them and they decided to leave the how. On the other hand, Asma and Khatab made their return after not going through with their engagement in the previous episode. Titled The Aftermath the synopsis of the episode reads:

“The couples finally get to know each other one-on-one. While some find a deeper connection, others discover things they really wish they hadn’t.”

Simo quits without notice

Love is Blind Habibi episode 5 kicked off with the aftermath of the last episode. Chafic was still furious at Simo for going behind his back and telling her fiance Dounia that he knew Nour before the show.

Simo felt that Chafic was childish for coming at him and was disappointed by his Love is Blind Habibi fiance Hajar for not standing beside him during the argument. Hajar wanted to confront Simo on his attitude towards her, however, he left the show without having a chat with Hajar.

With one couple out of the show, another made their entrance. After not going through with the engagement, Asma and Khatab re-entered the experience. Asma was a bit hesitant during their face-to-face in episode 4.

Asma rejected Khatab’s proposal, however, after taking some time to reflect on it, she decided to give it another chance. While explaining her reasoning to Khatab on why she hesitated she said:

“I would usually go for a fit guy, and this is… I told you that in the Pod. And when I knew you, I realized that, “No, this is … This is all outside things, and they change. I change”. Even I become very fit, and sometimes I go a little bit overweight. So I don’t think this is something that I will want to look into anymore.”

The couple go on their first dates

The Love is Blind Habibi couple went on their first dates and the dates were planned by the men according to their respective partner’s liking. Chafic and Dounia started their date with a lunch where they talked about Chafic’s past with Nour. The couple concluded their date with horse-riding activity.

Ammar and Karma went on a yacht date and had fun in the sea. After their date, they talked about their experience so far on the show. While Ammar was all in, she was upset when Karma shared that she was still unsure about getting married.

Mohammad and Safa shared a beach date where they talked about families and their acceptance. Safa felt Mohammad was a bit scared that her parents might not like him; however, she believed the opposite.

Mido leaves Nour

Mido wasn’t satisfied with the type of attention he was getting from Nour. He confronted her Love is Blind Habibi partner on the matter and told her that he was thinking of leaving the show.

After having a conversation with other men, Mido decided that he would leave because Nour wasn’t the right type of girl for him. In his confessional, he explained:

“I tried my best to make her very happy and make her experience be the best, but I got nothing in return. No feelings, no emotions, no affection. When you think about it, Nour has something for Chafic. I don’t have the energy to talk to her or even tell her that I’m leaving.”

Nour felt disappointed when Mido left without having a farewell conversation. She shared her feelings with Chafic, which ended up angering Dounia. Episode 5 of Love is Blind Habibi concluded with a heated argument between Dounia and Chafic.
