The talented midfielder has dropped out of Germany’s squad due to “hip problems” and will also miss Bayern’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
After losing their opening match of the season in the Champions League against Aston Villa, Bayern Munich has been dealt another blow, particularly with regard to one of their current stars on the pitch: Jamal Musiala.
The attacking midfielder for the Bavarian team has been left out of Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for the upcoming Nations League matches against Bosnia and the Netherlands, and will be replaced by Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling.
According to the German Football Association (DFB), the absence of the Bayern player is due to “hip problems,” which were communicated just minutes prior by Bayern, stating that Musiala “needs to take a break” as a result of the injury, discovered after “an examination by the medical department.”
This season, Musiala had participated in all eight matches played by Bayern, scoring three goals; however, following this announcement, he will miss the forthcoming match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
He had previously played in the fixtures against Hungary and the Netherlands during the September international break and was selected for the imminent clashes against Bosnia and the Dutch side, which he will ultimately have to miss.
