Champion Rehab Ahmed Radwan proved that she is the queen of miracles after she succeeded in raising Egypt’s name high in the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Rehab was able to win the gold medal in the 55 kg weightlifting competition at the Paralympic Games.

This is the first gold medal for Rehab Ahmed in the Paralympic Games after winning silver in the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

Rehab Ahmed is a heroine of steel after overcoming the difficulties in her life and choosing the challenge, to write her name in gold in the history of the Egyptian Paralympics.

Rehab’s suffering began early after she contracted polio before she was two years old, but this did not prevent her from achieving her dreams and ambitions.

Rehab said in a previous TV interview on MBC Masr: “I was exposed to polio when I was only one and a half years old. I was the eldest sister in my family and helped my mother raise my siblings.”

– Rehab is a 33-year-old English Literature graduate (born 1991).

– She broke the world record in weightlifting at the Georgia International Championship held last June (55 kg weight).

– World Champion in 2017, 2018 and 2021

– Won the African Weightlifting Championship in Algeria 2018

– Won the silver medal in weightlifting at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

Rehab Ahmed was honored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and received the Republic Medal in Sports, First Class.
