National coach Walid Regragui said that most of the Moroccan national team players play in major football clubs.

Regragui said in the press conference he held today before facing the Gabon national team on the Grand Stadium in Agadir, tomorrow, Friday, as part of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, that the competition will be fierce in the future within the national team to play as a starter, which encourages many to find clubs that give them more opportunity to play.

The national coach said that the transfer of Moroccan players to the Turkish or Greek league, referring to Hakim Ziyech, Sofyan Amrabat, and Azzedine Ounahi, does not diminish their value, given that the clubs they play for are large and well-known on the European level.

Regragui stressed that what is important to him is for the player to play matches against his club, whether the team is big or medium.

The national team coach said that the Turkish teams Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas are big clubs, as are the Greek teams Panathinaikos and Olympiacos.

Regragui considered that what is important for him and the players is to play and not sit on the bench, while the quality of the leagues is something that the fans can decide.
