The Moroccan national blind team, “Sisifoot”, achieved a valuable victory over its Japanese counterpart, with a score of 1-0, in the second round of Group Two competitions in the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

The match started with an equal score between the two teams, as the first half ended in a goalless draw; however, the Moroccan team succeeded in scoring the winning goal in the second half, through Japanese player Sasaki Roberto in a reverse manner.

With this victory, the Moroccan team raised its score to 4 points at the top of Group 2, tied with Colombia. On the other hand, the Japanese team stumbled and remained without any points; while the Argentine team occupies third place, with 2 points.

This victory over Japan is considered a great success for the Atlas Lions, especially after the draw in the first round with the Argentine national team, the World Cup title holder.

Morocco is now looking forward to facing Colombia tomorrow, Thursday, at 10:30 am, Kingdom time, in the third and final round of the group stage.
