Abdel Wahed Zomrat, coach of Ittihad Tawarka, considered that his team’s victory over its guest, Moghreb Tetouan (1-0), in the match that brought them together yesterday, Friday, for the fifth round of the professional tournament “Inwi”, was deserved, given the level in which the group appeared.
Zomrat said during the press conference that followed the match: “Congratulations to all components of the club on this victory. I think it is a well-deserved victory against a respectable team that has human capabilities at the same level, such as the player Ayoub Al-Kohl and Mohamed Kamal.”
He added: “We were determined to enter the match in order to get the three points, and I think we started the match well. We put high pressure on the opponent and created a number of opportunities and were able to score. We could have killed the match through some of the opportunities that were available to us, but luck was not on our side, and this is an aspect We have to work on it.”
He continued: “We have great work ahead of us because the result of an unanswered goal does not entitle you to win the match, especially since we saw the pressure that the opponent put on us in the last minutes of the confrontation.”
Before he went on to say: “But, thank God, today we showed the spirit of the group and the strength of character that enabled us to win the points in the match.”
Speaking about the possibility of using Youssef Kajai as a striker, the coach stated: “I think that the player has potential at the level. We brought him in this season to replace Ayman Dirani. I think he is a qualified defender who excels at set-pieces and headers. He needs some time to develop, but I do not think he can be inserted as a center forward, given that the team’s vision goes more in the direction of attack.” Mobile and rely on wings.
