Will Devin Booker be able to play the Christmas game against Denver?

Clearly, things are not going well in Phoenix. The Suns took a heavy hit from Denver last night and Devin Booker is still in the infirmary. Will he return for the rematch on Christmas Day tomorrow?

Injured against the Pacers five days ago and withdrawn from the last two games, Booker could well spend Christmas off the field this year.

Indeed, even if coach Mike Budenholzer wanted to take a positive tone regarding the state of health of his back, uncertainty reigns around his participation in the Suns – Nuggets match on December 25.

“The reports back are positive. I think we just take it day-by-day.”

“I have no idea” said Coach Bud when asked about Devin Booker's availability this Christmas. As a reminder, the All-Star guard is injured in the groin, an injury that is not easy to manage and which requires the greatest caution to avoid any aggravation.

The Suns, who remain on six defeats in eight games including a very dirty one in Denver yesterday, clearly need to be at full strength to survive in the jungle of the Western Conference. But that doesn't mean they can take the risk of playing Booker if he isn't 100% back.

This is the reality of the Phoenix Suns today: a talented but injury-prone team with little room to move. What was Mat Ishbia already saying at the start of the season? Oh yes, “26 teams would like to be our place”. Not sure huh…
