“It was our best game this season”

Fede Valverde once again caused a stir yesterday at the Bernabéu with a sensational strike from outside the box. He spoke after Real's 4-2 win against Sevilla.

19th minute of play, the Uruguayan receives a full ball from Camavinga and strikes with his right foot directly into the Sevillian goal. That's six goals for him this season, his record is 12, and he doesn't hesitate to set himself a goal: “I think I can get to 10, now I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself and I'm going to start scoring more often,” he said in the mixed zone.

“I think it's our best game this season, where we played the best and put the best pressure. With a bigger score, we relax, even if that shouldn't happen, it's normal. That comes from the body and the brain when you win with such a margin,” he explained after the victory.

“I'm very happy, I was joking with my friends just now. We pass videos of my goals to my son and they could reach 30 seconds now. We've been working on this gesture over the last few days, so I'm happy that “It went well,” he said, before explaining how he works on the long shot.

“We rehearsed it and we did a lot of shots in training. Some went well, others less, the coach was a little hesitant… but thanks to his assistants, who wanted me to try the same action, it ended in a goal,” he joked.

Two months after the humiliation in the Clasico, Real Madrid are two points ahead of Barça with a game in hand: “It's like everything, Barça beat us and it looked like the LaLiga was over. If it had been the opposite, we wouldn't have believed anything either. We must not forget Atlético, who are doing very well and who will fight for La Liga. I watched the match yesterday and that. “was magnificent”, concluded the Uruguayan.
