Strong against the big guys since July, the Union is facing the Bruges summit: “It’s a test, yes… but for the Club too”

If we add to this record the victory in Bruges in the Super Cup (2-1) and another success against Ghent in the Belgian Cup (3-2), we obtain an even more flattering record. It's simple, no other member of the current Top 6 has lost only one match against the other five.

Three successes in a row

Above all, there is the impression of a rise in power since the last three matches (Ghent in the Cup, Antwerp and Genk in the championship) have resulted in three successes. “We were able to be at our best during the posters this season, it’s true”analyzes Sébastien Pocognoli. “We responded against almost everyone, except Antwerp perhaps. I don't have any particular explanation for these good results, other than that we've been putting together good performances for a while.”

Bruges are the best team at the moment.

That said, T1 Liège does not want to do too much on the issue of Sunday's match: “This match is not a crash test, in my opinion, because that would mean that we would crash in the event of a bad result, which is not the case. It's a test against the best team in Belgium at the moment, yes… but for Bruges too, it will be a test.” For Hayen's players, beaten at Genk in August, this will be only the second trip to one of the top six.
