The world of gastronomy is in mourning. Marie-Thérèse Ordonez, known as Maïté, died on the night of December 20 to 21 at the age of 86, announced News Landes. After her debut as an announcer for the SNCF, she turned to cooking and started her career on the small screen with The Kitchen of the Musketeers alongside her accomplice Micheline Banzet-Lawton, who died in 2020. The end of the culinary show in 1997 did not prevent the restaurateur from pursuing her career in the audiovisual sector, notably with Maïté’s recipes on the airwaves of Sud Radio. In 2010, she chose to retire”she confided on the set of France 2, before delivering precious memories of the time spent with her grandmother when she was younger. “When she looked after us in the evening, she could make my sister and me a roast chicken for two.”
