Canyon alerts and compensates its electric bike users

Canyon announces compensation for users of certain Torque: ON CF and Spectral: ON CF and CFR models, following potential risks related to the batteries of these electric bikes.

In mid-November, Canyon alerted owners of Torque: ON CF and Spectral: ON CF and CFR electric bikes of a possible risk of fire in the batteries of these models. Since then, the manufacturer has posted a series of very precise instructions online. These must allow the user to determine whether or not he is concerned by problems of water infiltration into the battery, likely to cause a short circuit.

Canyon will compensate owners of immobilized electric bikes

A more complete series of photos, as well as an explanatory video, detail the steps necessary to check the incriminated part: visual observation of certain crucial points and reading of the serial number should make it possible to determine whether the bicycle must be immobilized.

In this case, Canyon has decided to set up a compensation procedure (accessible online), which aims to compensate its customers deprived of their electric bike. At the same time, the manufacturer is working to find a solution, announced for the beginning of February, and promises to communicate new information by mid-January.
