Change in the price of driving licenses for Quebecers in 2025.

In fact, Quebec motorists will still be able to benefit from a reduced price on their driving license in 2025.

For the fourth year in a row, driver's license renewal will be at a reduced price, i.e. an amount of $26.25. It is also important to note that this price would apply to the renewal of a motorist whose license does not contain any demerit points.

The news was to be announced Friday by Quebec Transport Minister Geneviève Guilbault.

Since 2022, the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) has been giving a sort of insurance contribution holiday to motorists in the province.

Regarding the renewal price for class 5 licenses for a passenger vehicle, this should be $25.50 in 2025, while in 2022 it was $24.

Remember that several speakers said they expected a return to normal, which would probably have brought the price of renewing a driver's license to $84.55.

The price of the permit was $87.28 in 2021.

According to government data, more than five million Quebecers hold a driving license.
