the price of your consultations will increase

From December 22, a traditional visit to a general practitioner will cost you more. An increase which also concerns consultations with most specialists.

A new price list is coming for medicine. From December 22, consultations will take place from 26.50 euros, to 30 euros.

This is what was provided for in a signed agreement on June 4, 2024 between Health Insurance and private doctors. The agreement is valid for a period of five years.

For specialists, the situation is also changing, we go from 56.50 to 60 euros.

No impact on patients

No change for patient portfolios, despite this increase. The prices are reimbursed by health insurance (70%) and complementary health insurance (30%).

Only the “flat rate contribution” two euros will be the responsibility of the patient, as has already been the case since May 15, 2024.

A second price increase is planned for July 2025for certain specialties.

Price increases among specialists

The costs of consultations with pediatricians are increasing:

  • For a child under 2 years old: the consultation set at 38.50 euros will increase to 39 euros on Sunday to reach 40 euros in July 2025.
  • For a child aged 2 to under 6: the price changes from 33.50 euros currently to 35 euros on Sunday.

The consultation to the psychiatrist, neuropsychiatrist or neurologist, set at 51.70 euros, will increase to 55 euros on Sunday to reach 57 euros in July 2025. The price of a child psychiatry consultation (extended up to 25 years) will reach 75 euros.

The consultation at the medical gynecologistset at 33.50 euros, will increase to 37 euros on Sunday then 40 euros in July 2025.

The consultation at the geriatrician, set at 31.50 euros, will increase to 37 euros on Sunday to reach 42 euros in July 2025.

The melanoma screening consultation at the dermatologist, set at 47.50 euros, will increase to 54 euros on Sunday, then to 60 euros in July 2025.

A reward for doctors

Faced with these price increases, doctors have several commitments to keep. The agreement represents 950 million euros in additional spending in 2025 for health insurance.

Doctors are therefore committed to “ten quantified objectives”dont reducing the rate of patients with long-term illness without attending physician at 2%, and the increase in patient numbers 2% per year.

They also commit to respecting 15 action programs to the relevance of care. Programs that include the reduction in prescriptions for sick leave or even the reduction in prescriptions for certain medications.
