At Stellantis, the hydrogen offensive in the large volume van segment is taking shape. In the United Kingdom, Vauxhall has just formalized the prices for the hydrogen Movano. Offered in two versions, the utility vehicle will be priced from 70,400 pounds excluding taxes in its L3 H2 version and from 72,020 pounds in its L4 H3 version, or respectively 85,400 and 87,400 € at the current price.
If the investment is naturally substantial, the price difference is not that high compared to the battery electric version, offered at just under 60,000 pounds on the British market, or around €72,800.
Offered in Prime version, the Movano Hydrogen offers complete equipment, including a multimedia system with a 10-inch touch screen and TomTom navigation, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities. Added to this are automatic air conditioning, an electric parking brake and rear parking sensors.
500 km of range
Designed on the same technical basis as other Stellantis vans such as the Fiat Ducato or the Citroën Jumper hydrogen, the fuel cell version of the Movano is equipped with a 110 kW (150 hp) electric motor and four high pressure hydrogen tanks that can store up to 7 kg of hydrogen at 700 bars. An 11 kWh lithium-ion battery provides support during starts and acceleration, while allowing braking energy to be recovered. The autonomy is given for 500 km in the WLTP cycle.
Scheduled for launch in various European markets, including France, the hydrogen-powered Movano will be open for order from spring 2025 on the British market.
