Traffic jams in : traffic is saturated after numerous accidents this Thursday morning

This Thursday, December 19, traffic jams make a late appearance on the roads of . Traffic is getting worse every minute. Le Journal Toulousain takes stock of live traffic.

This Thursday, December 19, traffic conditions in Toulouse remain relatively calm with no slowdowns or traffic jams at 7 a.m. However, the situation could well change as the morning progresses. If you are on the road, be careful. Le Journal Toulousain follows the evolution of traffic live with Bison Futé.

8:15 a.m.: a third accident has just occurred north of Toulouse

The situation is not going to get better. North of Toulouse, around 8:10 a.m., another accident occurred. And this one is particularly impressive. Two light vehicles and a heavy goods vehicle are involved, neutralizing the left and right lanes and the emergency lane of the A62, between the Sesquières interchange and exit 12 Les Izards.

8 a.m.: two simultaneous accidents in Toulouse this morning

At 8 a.m., Bison Futé reported two accidents that had just occurred on the roads of Toulouse, which aggravated the traffic and traffic jams already in progress. The first took place on the A624 after , towards Toulouse. A light vehicle would be affected on the central reservation and the left lane. Same thing on the A620 near Empalot. The second accident occurred on the central reservation and the left lane on the inner ring road. According to a reader of the Journal Toulousain present on the scene, five light vehicles “ran into it”. Be careful in these two areas.

7:50 a.m.: more than 7 kilometers of traffic jams between Halle de la Machine and Empalot

Traffic continues to get busy in the Toulouse metropolitan area this Thursday morning. From now on, traffic jams have also taken over the A620 between Halle de la Machine and Empalot. Let’s take stock just before 8 a.m.:

  • N124: 12.4 kilometers of traffic jams between Léguevin and Toulouse;
  • A64: 8.2 kilometers of slowdowns between Roques and Toulouse;
  • A620: 7.1 kilometers of traffic jams between Montaudran and Empalot;
  • A61: 2.5 kilometers of slowdowns between Saint-Orens and Montaudran;
  • A62: 4.3 kilometers between Daurade and Sesquières;
  • A62: 2 kilometers of slowdowns in the opposite direction, from the Sesquières interchange to Izards.

7:30 a.m.: traffic picks up north of Toulouse

Around 7:30 a.m., slowdowns appear north of Toulouse. There are therefore many motorists there over more than 4 kilometers between Croix Daurade and the Sesquières interchange. This is also the case on the A61, for more than a kilometer between Saint-Orens and Montaudran.

7:20 a.m.: traffic is saturated to the west of Toulouse this Thursday morning

Finally, motorists were stopped for more than 7 kilometers between Léguevin and Toulouse from 7:20 a.m. The traffic jams have finally appeared and they are not pretending.

7:10 a.m.: some slowdowns on the A64

A few minutes later, Bison Futé recorded some slowdowns on the A64 between Roques and Portet-sur-Garonne. These extend over 2 short kilometers. In addition, we note a slight influx of motorists on the N124 without creating any slowdowns or traffic jams between Léguevin and Toulouse.

7 a.m.: no traffic jams on the roads of Toulouse
