And new fire declared itself near Loudéac, in Plémet (Côtes-d’Armor).

Tuesday December 17, 2024at the beginning of the evening, the firefighters intervened in a agricultural holdinghas Saint-Jacques.

Round ballers and straw

Shortly before 7 p.m., the fire broke out at a building of 1,000 m².

In this one, according to firefighters, 200 round ballers stored, animalsand almost 150 tonnes of straw.

A windbreak was created with a row of round-ballers to prevent the fire from spreading.

Nearly 50 animals sheltered

In total, around fifty bsheep were present in the building. They were not taken out, but sheltered.

Several barracks firefighters were mobilized.

Two people were also taken in to carry out examinations; but they are not not injured.

Still mobilized on Wednesday

The mayor of Plémet, Chantal Névo, quickly arrived on site.

The manager of Super U of the commune was even contacted to open the store in order to collect materials to make sandwiches for the teams on site.

Wednesday December 18, 2024the firefighters, the farmer and the mayor were still on site in the morning; the fire was not completely extinguished.
