After a professional career in insurance, Ingrid retrained almost 10 years ago to pursue one of her passions: jewelry making. “I have always hunted. I have always loved creation. I was soon to be 40 and I wanted a change,” says the Rouennaise, smiling.

In addition to a stand within the Printemps de Rouen brand, Ingrid also sells her creations in her boutique, rue Saint-Nicolas. But it is in her workshop, located on Rue de la République, that the jeweler opened the doors to her world to us.

His favorite subject is “ brass gilded with fine 24 carat gold“. Money, she only does that on request “because that’s not what I wear”.

In terms of creation, Ingrid does a bit of everything, according to her inspirations: ring, necklace, earrings, necklace, etc. She draws her inspiration from the 1970s, 1980s and the art deco artistic movement: “Generally, I create what I like”.

In its early days, the local artisan mainly sold “to people my age. But today, I reach a younger clientele and that’s great.”

If this works for Ingrid, it is mainly because she has been able to adapt to the times, notably by establishing partnerships with influencers on social networks to reach new generations. “You can have the most beautiful jewel in the world, but if you don’t make yourself known, it’s useless,” she assures.

If her clientele has expanded and diversified over the years, Ingrid retains the same flame that has driven her since her beginnings: “What I like,it is to sublimate the woman. »
