Every day and as close as possible to citizens, women and men embody, extend and drive the national road safety policy. There are more than 2,200 agents within prefectures and in decentralized state services, who work in favor of safer roads alongside law enforcement units specializing in road safety. From the design of operations in schools to raising awareness among businesses in their department, including actions aimed at users of motorized two-wheelers or seniors, these essential players “do” prevention in the heart of the territories, often supported by volunteers, departmental road safety workers (IDSR).

In order to promote their commitment and highlight their initiatives, Road Safety is organizing the IdéeSR Prize. This meeting is, each year, an opportunity to celebrate the richness, ingenuity and dynamism of the projects carried out by this professional community aiming at the same objective: preventing road accidents and strengthening the safety of all users. The jury for this 7th edition had the arduous task of choosing 5 “road safety ideas” from among the 26 applications. These awareness-raising actions or devices were all of high quality both in terms of their innovative nature, their ability to reach as many people as possible and their concrete effectiveness. On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Interministerial Delegate for Road Safety, Florence Guillaume, presented the IdéeSR 2024 prize to 5 road safety coordinations during a ceremony organized in , including one from .

Youth category: a departmental road safety challenge between Doubs colleges

What if middle school students became road safety ambassadors, inspiring responsible behavior on the road? This is the whole point of the Doubs Road Safety Challenge: an educational and civic challenge. Groups of students compete with ideas to create posters, films or audio messages on the theme “Let’s share the road, it’s a space for everyone”. The big winners will see their work shared throughout the department, with a large awareness campaign. The awards ceremony in the spring was an opportunity to organize numerous workshops dedicated to road safety.
