The main suspect, who admitted to being the author of the five murders which occurred in Loon-Plage and Wormhout, was indicted for “assassinations” and “murders”, indicated the public prosecutor of Dunkirk, Charlotte Huet, this Tuesday December 17.
The suspect in the killing which left five dead on Saturday December 14 in Loon-Plage and Wormhout (North) was indicted this Tuesday, announced the public prosecutor of Dunkirk, Charlotte Huet, during a press conference.
The classification of “assassination” was retained for the former employer of the main suspect as well as for the two security agents. For the last two crimes, concerning the two Iranian migrants, the charge of “murder followed by another crime” was retained.
Around fifteen weapons found
“The weapon mainly used for the murders is a 44 caliber rifle,” explained the public prosecutor of Dunkirk. “A hunting rifle was also used,” she added.
In total, five weapons were found in his vehicle, and “12 firearms” were discovered during a search of his home.
Murders committed within two hours
Paul D. was indicted on these charges. The prosecution requested his placement in pre-trial detention. The 22-year-old man went on his own to the Ghyvelde gendarmerie after murders committed within a two-hour interval this Saturday.
He was then arrested and taken into police custody. The public prosecutor’s office of the Dunkirk judicial court is conducting a flagrant investigation into these facts. It was entrusted to the organized and specialized crime division (DCOS) of the interdepartmental service of the judicial police of the North (SIPJ 59).
