On November 11, around 11 p.m., the parking lot of a McDonald’s in the XVIe district, one of the most impoverished in Marseille, had been the scene of a violent shooting. A vehicle with five people on board was targeted by Kalashnikov fire and a 25-year-old woman and a man in his twenties died. The three passengers in the vehicle were also injured.
“The profile of the individuals allows us to place ourselves in the context of narchomicides, in any case attempted assassinations by an organized gang with perhaps a very strong link with drug trafficking”prosecutor Nicolas Bessone had specified at a press conference.
