Five departments are on orange alert for storms, rain and flooding tonight and until mid-morning. These are: Gardof Vaucluseof Wasof the Bouches-du-Rhône and some Alpes-Maritimesannounces Météo-France.
Very contrasting morning
Severe thunderstorms continue over the PACA regionwhere rainfall intensities greater than 10 mm/h are expected. These showers are becoming more widespread in Center-East then to the central regions until Paris basin. They remain moderate, but are continuous. On the west facadethe sky is punctuated by beautiful clearings.
Temperatures are mild, and higher on the half East. It is 12 to 14°C on the coasts of the Some and of theAtlantic16°C at Paris and up to 22°C in Corse.
Cloudy or even stormy afternoon
The storms calm down and clear into the South East with beautiful clearings around the golf of the Lion, mainly thanks to the tramontane which blows up to 80 km/h. The rains continue from Center-East to the Normandie moderately. Clearings are expected in the lower Rhone Valley and will progress towards the Loire Valley.
