Do fuel prices have the Christmas spirit? The fact remains that they are starting to decline again, this time, just before Christmas. A good trend for motorists, who find themselves on the side of diesel as well as gasoline. Even if it remains light.
Of the two, diesel is the one falling the least. It decreases by 0.2 euro cents over one week, according to data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition. And its price reached €1.6396/L on average in the territory, making it the third consecutive week of decline, after big increases that began at the end of October.
On the gasoline side, the reduction is more marked, at 0.6 euro cents drop for the SP95-E10. The latter has now reached 1.7101 €/L, which has remained stable since the end of October.
The trend is also downward for other types of gasoline. The price of SP95 decreases in the same way, to €1.7565/L. The SP98 is more timid in its decline, at 1.8177 €/L.
Oil goes in a different direction
It remains to be seen whether this development will last over time. This is not certain, reading the evolution of the price of a barrel of oil. Dated Brent, as it is called, follows an upward curve. This by $0.5 per barrel, to reach $74.1.

To summarize
Fuel prices have started to fall again in recent days. A slight development, however, but which will not fail to delight motorists this Christmas period. If only it continues in the weeks and months to come.
