On Friday, December 13, Anita Rouault and Laurence Cojean, respectively president and secretary of the CAC Sud 22, were invited to the Regional Council, in Rennes, for the gallo 2024 awards ceremony. And they did not return empty-handed since the association received first prize in the Cultural Action Prize category. It rewards the creation of the Gallo and life-size investigation game “L’Enferluzée des tailes de lin”, which means “The Intrigue of the Linen Cloths”.
Back to linen’s past
The story takes place in the 1920s and Jeanne, after her art studies in Paris, returns to Loudéac. She is passionate about photography and is hired by Le Petit Libéral. But one day his photo plates are stolen! “The game is to find the thief. Equipped with tablets for playing videos and finding clues, with the help of panels, the investigators will embark on a treasure hunt and go back in time with the people around Jeanne and the language is not an obstacle, since everything is translated into French,” explains Anita Rouault.
The jury rewarded “a collective project featuring the actors, a team of costume designers, volunteers and the company GNome Prod which carried out the filming. It is also a project that gives pride of place to the heritage of the territory, linen in particular, to the people here, to the Welsh language, all in a very modern medium.” The two recipients are delighted: “The jury recognizes that our game has great interest in the Welsh language and can unite and attract the population in the Loudéac area and in Upper Brittany, even if the subject is not Gallo. But it makes the language heard and spoken. It is also recognition of the fact that the Cac is a cultural actor which allows Gallo to regain its place.”
