Canceled for security reasons, the match between Tours and Lorient will not be played before the draw for the round of 16. A “Tours or Lorient” ball will then be used while waiting to determine an outcome.
“The prefecture of Indre-et-Loire and the Town Hall of Tours noted that FC Tours was not able to put in place a system to guarantee the holding of the match in terms of welcoming the public. Consequently, the decision was taken in consultation with the stakeholders to cancel the meeting,” the FFF said in a press release on Saturday.
“Spectators are asked not to go to the Vallée du Cher stadium. The Organizing Commission of the Coupe de France will examine the action to be taken.”
