Garmin announced beta version 13.12 for the Fenix ​​8 (currently $999.99 at Amazon) and related smartwatches, which include the Fenix ​​8 Solar, Fenix ​​E and Enduro 3. The update appeared a few days after the release of 'a stable update, version 12.35 for these watches.

The 13.12 beta changelog is relatively long, listing 40 changes for these smartwatches. Additions include new Sail Race and Jumpmaster activities, a Trolling Motor app, and Connect IQ (CIQ) System 8, for the latest apps and watch faces. Some activities have been improved, such as a stress map for the Gaming activity summary and a breathing graph for meditation. Additionally, watches now support nautical units and the use of a heart rate monitor (HRM) to calculate pace and distance.

The patch notes also list numerous bug fixes, addressing issues such as not being able to disable touchscreen typing, not being able to access apps through the Recents menu, and the appearance of an empty calendar card in the morning report.
