The investigation is progressing into the case of an arson and attempted murder which took place last October on rue des Toucans in Blainville.
Remember that a call to the Blainville Police Department was made by a neighbor around 8 p.m. on October 11. Once arrived on scene, the police and firefighters noticed the presence of broken glass near the window of a residence, and the start of a fire. No damage was caused.
A few days later, on October 20, emergency services received several calls after a series of gunshots at the same address. The victim, a man in his twenties, was in the parking lot and was not hit by the projectiles.
On December 19, Blainville police informed CIME that investigators carried out searches in Repentigny and Montreal in connection with the events.
The investigation is still ongoing and arrests are pending.
Anyone who has information related to these events is asked to communicate confidentially with the Blainville City Police Department.
