The same goes for Trân Thi Câm Huyên, 25, who is shopping with a friend in the drinks aisles of the supermarket. “Beer, tea and coffee are part of our Tet menu. We can't drink spirits because it's too strong for us”, she explains. She sticks to traditional Tet drinks and is not curious to discover new varieties of nutritious drinks, such as milk or mixed drinks.
On the other hand, Nguyên Thi Mai, 63, excludes beer and alcohol from his Tet drinks menu. “We buy soft drinks and tea for Tet, no alcohol. My husband is old, he gave up alcohol a few years ago”, she confides. She adds that her husband's friends are also elderly. “They come to our house and have tea with him, and the soft drinks are for our grandchildren”, she continues.
Tea and coffee dominate
In Tet 2025 gift baskets, tea and coffee are almost ubiquitous, in addition to chocolate, snack cakes, donuts, cashew and lotus nuts, as well as candies and jams. The packaging of each gift basket is beautifully decorated, and its price ranges from 300,000 to 2,000,000 dong.

Therefore, ahead of the Tet 2025 trading season, she advises producers not to be overconfident in their competition for market share, but rather to closely monitor market updates in order to increase their revenues as expected .
