A nice gesture to make things easier. After the disappointment of the postponement of its Euroleague match against Fenerbahçe this Thursday evening, due to an epidemic which devastated a large majority of the Parisian squad, Paris Basketball announced a great initiative this Friday on its social networks to redistribute food that was not consumed at the Adidas Arena.
“With the cancellation of the match against Fenerbahce, a significant quantity of food was not going to be consumed,” the club wrote. With Le Réfectoire, our hospitality service provider, we ensured that this quantity of food was redistributed to the Audonien Migrant Solidarity Collective. » The CASM is an association providing aid and support to disadvantaged people which organizes maraudes to distribute food or basic necessities.
In the short video posted by the basketball club, we see the place where the dishes offered in the Paris Basketball “hospitality” services are produced. “Yesterday’s was unfortunately canceled and we found ourselves with a large quantity of food,” explains a representative from the Refectory. When it happens like this, we have associations that come to collect all the food. »
More than 180 kilos of food, including 60 kilos of pasta but also meat and prepared meals, carefully kept cold, were donated.
