Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3: What future for the saga?

The hype around Final Fantasy VII Remake Partie 3 is palpable, even if its release still remains distant. Yoshinori Kitase and Naoki Hamaguchi, the brains behind the project, recently gave some hints about what to expect for players. No DLC or additional content planned after the release of Part 3, but both creators have mentioned that they would be open to expanding the story if fans demand it. This statement suggests that the saga could well exceed what is planned, especially if demand is strong enough.

Development is moving ahead at full speed, according to Hamaguchi, who says everything is happening “wonderfully”. However, the release date remains uncertain, although the game is expected between 2027 and 2028. A little long, but fans can be reassured: Part 3 will be a grand finale, with a focus on the narrative and a conclusion of all unresolved plots. No more repetitive mini-games, make way for the story and the depth of the characters. The goal is to end this trilogy on a high note and give fans what they’ve been waiting for for years.

Speaking of music, players were hoping to see Nobuo Uematsu return to compose the soundtrack for Part 3, but Hamaguchi hasn’t confirmed anything yet. He just hinted that there would be news on this soon. What is certain is that Part 3 will continue to pay homage to the original Final Fantasy VII, with reworked scenes, new dialogues and additions to give them even more weight. The key moments of the game will therefore be even more intense and charged with emotion.

Finally, after a FF7 Rebirth which won Best Soundtrack at The Game Awards 2024, the anticipation for Part 3 is higher than ever. Those who have not yet had their dose will be able to catch up on PC from January 23, 2025. Players, ever more impatient, know that the next revelations will not take long, and the Final Fantasy VII saga continues to shine by providing an experience always richer and more captivating.
