A former Prime Minister has recently made headlines… It’s Edouard Philippe. Indeed, on September 3, he announced that he was running candidate for the next presidential election. Since then, criticism has been pouring in from the political world. However, the strategy of the mayor of Le Havre is well thought out: “I will be a candidate in the next presidential election.” The day after Édouard Philippe’s announcement, several people expressed themselves in the Point columns: “It’s completely indecent,” explained the rebellious MP Aurélie Trouvé. And added: “We are in the midst of a blockage of institutions. We are in a catastrophic situation with a public deficit that is set to spiral out of control. And now, Édouard Philippe, who voted for all the Macronie laws with his Horizon group, is telling us ‘hello, I’m here for the presidential elections’. Who is he really kidding?”
