Indochina, upset at not participating in the Olympic ceremonies? “We had the decency not to talk about it”

It was the event of the year, and even of the decade – or certainly of the century, when you know that the last ones took place in 1924 – in Paris. In this summer of 2024, the French capital hosted the biggest sporting competition in the world: the Olympic Games. And in addition to the events that made our French athletes shine internationally, these Olympic Games were also marked by two grandiose ceremonies. On July 26, the entire planet had its eyes riveted on the Seine and the Eiffel Tower, where Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, Philippe Katerine, Gojira, and Céline Dion performed successively. Unforgettable performances, as were those of Phoenix and Lucky Love during the closing ceremony on August 11. But some French artists were at least annoyed at not having been invited to this majestic event, as is the case with David Guetta and Matt Pokora, who did not hesitate to make it known. And what about Indochine, which still remains one of the biggest French groups, more than forty years after its creation?

This Friday, September 6, 2024, on the occasion of the release of their new album Babel, Babel, Nicola Sirkis gave an interview to the newspaper Le Parisien.
