A number of Slam not like the others. Cyril Féraud bowed out this Sunday, September 8, 2024 on France 3 before his arrival tomorrow in Everyone wants to take his place on France 2. Even before the start of this last show, the host brought in Théo Curin, his successor, to introduce him to the public and embrace him: “This is my very last one after 16 years, it allows me to tell you how happy I am that you are now the one taking care of this beautiful baby, and truly, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the happiness in the world. You are going to be exceptional, I am sure. And good luck for tomorrow!“.

Cyril Féraud struck by emotion during a surprise

After the credits, the first few seconds of the very first issue of Slam in 2008 were broadcast. This archive that took us back sixteen years was followed by another surprise: Cyril Féraud was interrupted by a telephone ringing. At the end of the line… “Ah, it’s my mom!“. “My dear, I know that today is your last show of Slam that you presented for 16 years with passion. Your dad and I loved coming to see you on the set where we were always made to feel welcome. So I think you must be feeling a pang in your heart as you stop this wonderful show.“, said his mother, bringing tears to the eyes of the host who lost his father in 2019.That’s why I’m coming to give you a big kiss of support, as well as to all the teams. And I wish you good luck in your new professional adventure. Know that whatever you do, I will always be there to encourage you.“, concluded Cyril Féraud’s mother. Having recovered from his emotions after these few moments of silence, the presenter found his smile and his energy again: “Thank you my loving mother. I give my mother a huge kiss, I have a thought, obviously, for my dad who protects me from where he is now. (…) I’m just bothered by something. I said to myself we’re going to play a game, I won’t cry…
