Natasha Fox has indeed fought for the Huskies from the University of Saskatchewan and was even named an RBC Olympian in 2016.
She also represented Canada on the national stage for over a decade, as well as at the 2021 World Championships in Oslo, Norway.
Although Natasha Fox had been out of competitive wrestling for a year, her husband says she still devoted her time to training the younger generation.
Tod Fox adds that she helped organize a wrestling tournament for hundreds of students just two weeks ago.
In a statement, Wrestling Canada Executive Director Tamara Medwidsky also paid tribute to Natasha Fox.

Shane Bradley, who is high performance coach for Wrestling Saskatchewan and assistant head coach at the University of Saskatchewan, says the deceased was an accomplished athlete.

Young athletes wanted to be like her, older athletes wanted to be around her, whether it was on her own teams here in Saskatoon or even nationally and internationally.

The latter also worked as a teacher in the Saskatoon Catholic Schools Division and was well liked by her colleagues. Many of them say they are saddened by this sudden loss.
We are all very saddened to learn that a friend and colleague died following a car accident while riding her bicycle.
Saskatoon Catholic Schools Division spokesman Derrick Kunz said.
The fatal collision happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of College Drive and Wiggins Avenue, which is popular with drivers in the city of Bridges.
Authorities said the victim was accompanied by two children, each riding their own bicycles behind the woman at the time of the collision. Neither of these two children, however, needed medical attention.
According to the police, this accident involving a cyclist is the only fatal case reported out of the 35 collisions recorded since 2022. The police are continuing to conduct the investigation to shed light on this case.
