The singer Coumba Diallo, better known as “Queen Biz”, expressed her recognition following her appointment as president of the board of directors (PCA) of the National Theater Daniel Sorano. This decision was formalized during the Council of Ministers on Wednesday January 22, 2025, under the chairmanship of Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
In a publication on his Facebook page, Queen Biz thanked the President of the Republic for this distinction and announced the temporary suspension of his artistic and musical activities, in order to devote himself fully to his new responsibilities.
“I would like, following my appointment to the presidency of the board of directors of the National Theater Daniel Sorano, to express my sincere thanks to the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye and the Prime Minister, Mr. Ousmane Sonko, For this confidence placed in my modest person.
I associate these thanks Ms. Khady Diene Gaye, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture.
I measure the importance of this new responsibility and ensures to fill it with humility, honor and devotion.
I also send my thanks to my family, to the members of my political movement (MJR), to my friends and sympathizers, and to all Senegalese

To fully assume my role as PCA and better serve my country, I decided to suspend my artistic and musical activities ”.
