Éric Bricout took up the position of Director General of Services (DGS) of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) on January 2. He was assistant in this position for a yearand follows on from Philippe Dulionwho exercised his retirement rights. Holder of a master's degree in technical accounting and financial sciences from the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis, Éric Bricout began his career as financial manager at the IUT of Valenciennes. He was then elected to the FORMASUP development council (regional CFA) as representative of the IUT of Valenciennes.
The UPHF, an experimental establishment, was born from the transformation ofUniversity of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis. It accommodates more than 14,500 studentss and more than 2,000 staff on human-sized sites at Valenciennes, Cambrai, Maubeuge and Wallers-Arenberg. The establishment offers more than 160 training courses in science, technology, law, economics, management, arts, letters, languages, human and social sciences.
