Dakar, January 23 (APS) – The television channel specializing in sports, Dsports TV, currently being tested on the TNT channel, aims to establish itself “long-term” in the Senegalese media landscape, by playing an important role in sports coverage. , assured the CEO of the Dialan Communication group, the sports journalist, Bakary Cissé.
”However, it remains a challenge for us and above all an exciting adventure and we hope to establish ourselves sustainably and continue to grow. I remain convinced that if we continue to offer rich and pleasant content, we will succeed in retaining the public and attracting partners,” he said in an interview with the APS.
A year after starting to broadcast its first content on dsports.sn and the Dsports TV YouTube channel, the Dialan Communication group is launching the Dsports TV channel on Friday.
”Sport counts enormously in the life of Senegal and the country has a dynamic sports press. It was therefore completely normal that we had a specialized TV channel. There are a lot of things to offer, reports and interviews to carry out, investigations to carry out and talents to discover,” explains the Senegalese sports journalist.
According to the CEO of Dialan communication, Dsports TV considers itself a club which was in Ligue 2 and which is moving up into the elite.
”We consider that we were in Ligue 2 with only the YouTube channel. We worked to be promoted to Ligue 1. Which happened since we are in the test phase on the TNT channel. We must ensure our continuation in Ligue 1 and aim for the Champions League,” said the former journalist from Provence (France), Stades et Record (Senegal).
-For Bakary Cissé, Dsports TV must establish itself permanently on TNT and also be on the CANAL+ bouquet.
”In terms of content, we will offer various programs to viewers. Broadcasts that will reach all segments of the population, including the diaspora. Our belief is that sport must be for everyone and we will therefore have programs for everyone. There are some shows that are already on the YouTube Channel. Others like the Duel des Benjamins, Classe D’Sports are coming,” he underlined.
He also clarified that his group “does not set limits”, even “if we want to grow step by step”.
