TCL in Lyon. The tram derails, an important street blocked, here's what's happening

This Wednesday, January 22, 2025, a tram derailed in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon at the Dauphiné-Lacassagne stop.

The TCL T3 line is partly cut until Thursday morning.

Here's what we know.

A tram derails

A train on line T3 suffered around 7 p.m. a grave incident technical. The tram came off its tracks, “a little before the stop” which is very popular with users.

According to our information, a referral problem is mentioned. Numerous technical teams are deployed on site to find a solution to the problem.

No injuries would not be to be deplored.

The line partly stopped

As a result of this incident, the line only runs between stations Meyzieu les Panettes and Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie.

The stations from Gare Part-Dieu to Bel Air-Les Brosses are, however, inaccessible.

Relay buses which serve the stations from Part-Dieu Villette to Vaulx-en-Velin la Soie.

The normal resumption of traffic is estimated at Thursday January 23.

Bus traffic is also very impacted in the area.

The train actually stopped on the entrance to a crossroads.
