Alps. Ski trip turns into drama, 10-year-old child brain dead

Tuesday January 21, 2025 in the afternoon, a 10-year-old girl was the victim of a skiing accident on a slope in the Villard-de-Lans resort (Isère), near Grenoble.

The drama unfolded while the little girl was on a school trip. According to our exclusive information, the young victim would be in brain dead. An investigation was opened by the Grenoble public prosecutor's office and entrusted to the high mountain gendarmerie platoon.

She would have hit a rock

According to initial information, the young victim hit a rock. Emergency services quickly arrived on site to take care of her.

The girl, seriously injured, had to be evacuated in absolute emergency to Grenoble hospital.

Wednesday January 22, the day after the accident, a psychological unit was set up for schoolchildren by the Isère National Education services in the establishment where the little girl is educated.
