This is the end of a pollution episode which lasted six days. Considering the latest bulletin shared this Tuesday by the air quality observatory Atmo Aura – a report stating “ conditions favorable to better dispersion of pollution” and a “reduction in particle concentrations” – the Rhône prefecture has decided to lift emergency measures.
For the record, then January 16, the prefecture activated the orange alert for air pollution throughout the Lyon basin. A decision which was accompanied by several restrictive measures, in particular for motorists (speed limit, access restriction for certain vehicles, etc.), in order to reduce pollutant emissions.
