On January 16, in Paris, the Métropole de Lyon won the Victoire du Mentorat for its commitment to mentoring young people in child welfare.
The Metropolis of Lyon in the spotlight. Last Wednesday, January 16, the community was rewarded for its commitment to mentoring young people in child welfare. The community thus won the Mentoring Victory.
For several years, the Metropolis of Lyon has been involved in this area and has “fully invested in the development of mentoring, a key tool to support young people in ASE, often faced with social, academic and professional weaknesses” explains the community in a press release.
-Thus, the Metropolis finances various targeted actions to support young people in difficulty. In October 2022 it notably launched a call for projects, “co-financed with the State as part of the metropolitan child prevention and protection contract (CMPPE)“.
“Receiving the Mentoring Victory is valuable recognition of our commitment to the most vulnerable young people” said Lucie Vacher, vice-president in charge of children. For the year 2025, the Lyon Metropolis wants to strengthen the quality support for young children and develop new partnerships.
