one injured and two people in police custody after a brawl in Secondigny

Against the backdrop of an alcoholic evening and the exasperation of the neighborhood, a man was severely beaten, in Secondigny, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Tuesday January 21, 2025. The injured man, bruised in the face, even had to be taken care of by the firefighters who transported him to the Nord-Deux-Sèvres hospital center in Faye-l'Abbesse.

The events occurred near the emergency reception area for the homeless, commonly known as “Local 115”, rue de Vendée in Secondigny. According to the first elements collected, one of the protagonists threatened the victim with a handgun.

Alerted, the Parthenay gendarmerie company arrested two individuals on Wednesday January 22 in the early morning. They were placed in police custody at the gendarmerie, as part of an investigation into violence with weapons in meetings, against a background of alcohol.
