The draw for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, which will take place from December 21 to January 18, 2026, will be held on January 27, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Tuesday on its official website. The ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m. and will see the participation of delegations from the 24 qualified nations, specifies the African football body. The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups of four.
At the end of the group stage, the two best teams from each group, as well as the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16. With the road to the CAF TotalEnergies 2025 CAN underway in Morocco, excitement is at its peak, not only for the tournament itself, but also for what it symbolizes: a celebration of African football and a reflection of Moroccan commitment to this sport. Thanks to international-level infrastructure, a passionate public and recognized experience in hosting major sporting events, Morocco is ready to organize a CAN which will redefine the standards of this competition.
Here is the list of the 24 teams qualified for this edition of the CAN: Morocco, South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Mozambique , Nigeria, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
