Cévennes. This road between Lozère and Gard is closed for a few days

It is one of the axes which makes it possible to connect the Lozere au Gard. A departmental road va is closed for several days in the Cévennes.

This is the RD983 between Saint-Jean-du-Gardin the Gard and Saint-Etienne-Vallée-Française, in Lozère. The work is carried out at Cabrespic.

Until Friday

This project, which began on Monday January 20, aims to secure a cliff, specifies a recently published departmental decree. It will continue until Friday January 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Traffic is prohibited for all vehicles from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is restored outside construction hours.

Diversions are proposed by the RD907, RD260 (in Gard), RD9, RD140 and RD983.

Also on another road in the Cévennes

Note that at the moment, not far from there in the Cévennes, the project aimed at correcting the subsidence of the road on the RD40 in Moissac-Vallée-Française and Sainte-Croix-Vallée-Française (near the place called Mazel-Bas), continues until February 14, 2025.

Traffic will be prohibited for all vehicles. And diversions are put in place by the RD140 for light vehicles and by the RD9 and RD983 for heavy goods vehicles.
