Monday January 20, 2025Sébastien Jumel, the president of -Maritime, brought together residents and elected officials for the conurbation's wishes ceremony, in the Paul-Éluard room in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime).

In a speech lasting almost an hour, the former deputy for the sixth constituency swept away a large number of subjects, notably evoking the future of the Channel shipyard and the marine industry.

A promise kept

“We took a hit this year with the liquidation of Mim. Employees found themselves left behind and our port and maritime ecosystem risked losing an important player in the sector: shipbuilding and repair,” Sébastien Jumel told the crowd present.

When Mim closed, he assured that everything would be done to ensure that the construction site restarted as quickly as possible. A promise that he claims to have kept today. “As for the continuation of Mim, we will soon be able to do so thanks to the arrival of an industrialist” affirms Sébastien Jumel.
