A drug-impaired and recalcitrant driver

According to the SQ, on January 18 during the night, SQ patrol officers from the City of Shawinigan station saw a car driving erratically.

It would have traveled in the opposite direction and would have crashed into a snow bank.

The police wanted to intercept her and the driver continued on her way. It all started in the St-Georges sector, in Shawinigan, and ended several kilometers further, in the Grand-Mère sector.

The pursuit ended in the River Road/Riverside area when the vehicle came to a stop.

The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Trois-Rivières, was arrested for driving while impaired by drugs and fleeing.

She would also have refused to submit to the required tests, indicated the SQ.
