Swore. A policeman suspected of having prostituted his wife for two years

Last December, a woman presented herself at the Lons-le-Saunier police station (Jura), to accuse her partner of domestic violence, before claiming that he had forced her into prostitution since 2022, according to information of Progress.

Interviewed and placed in police custody, the husband, aged 22, is a gendarme in a barracks in Jura. He is accused of pimping, being suspected of having placed advertisements on escort sites and of having organized the prostitution of his partner, according to the regional daily.

Suspended

He is also suspected of having violated professional secrecy, by having shown his partner photographs linked to ongoing investigations. The gendarme admitted these latter facts, but not the pimping.

Suspended as a precautionary measure and placed under judicial supervision, the soldier will appear on Wednesday before the Besançon court.
